Amanda Brugel

Pointe Claire (February 27, 2010 (February 27, 2010) Toronto ON). Pointe Claire is a small town situated on the West Island, which is part of the Montreal island. The West Island can be confusing to those unfamiliar with its meaning. It is often believed that it is an island west of Montreal However, it's actually the West Island encompasses everything between the two cities that are Lachine as well as West. Amanda Brugel grew up on the island and is commonly called her birthplace. It is true that she was there for a brief period of time. Brugel grew to be a woman of a certain age within Courtice Ontario, outside Oshawa. The first goal she had was to become an actress, however, after a rapid increase in size, her friends could no longer dance with her. The article she wrote about her experience revealed written by the Toronto Star that she is 6'1" tall and wears heels. As I grew older than my male friends, I quit. A lot of former dancers go on to acting and in Brugel's case it was a nudge from a high school drama teacher which pushed her in the right direction. The teacher who suggested she pursue a role for the annual school production. The school's production was a success and she was selected to play the lead part for Anne of Green Gables after she tried out. The show led her to receive the award of a Fine Arts Talent Scholarship at York University where she attended the Theater Program and graduated with an Associate in Fine Arts degree in the year 2000. Brugel's career spans over 20 years and she has performed in more than 60 shows that have screened on large screens and smaller ones. The most well-known role she played was as Rita (pictured below) on The Handmaid's Tale. Brugel was the sole Canadian actress in the season 1 which was viewed only on occasion.
